Bronchial asthma - Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) - Allergies

The number of people suffering from some form of respiratory disease is continually increasing. In Germany, 6% of adults and about 10% of children have bronchial asthma. Every tenth adult over the age of 40 will end up suffering from chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and that trend is rising.

The Clinical Research Centre Respiratory Medicine was founded in 2009 by the medical specialists Dr. med. Berthold Michels, Dr. med. Marc-Oliver Kommann and Dr. med. Andreas Eich, in close cooperation with the interdisciplinary specialist centre Sachsenhausen (IFS) with the focus pulmonology.

The centre has state-of-the-art facilities and employs the most modern scientific research methods. Our specialists’ medical expertise goes hand-in-hand with their many years of experience in the fields of pulmonology, allergology and infectiology.
